Mr. Upali Jayaweera is a well-experienced and well-qualified Science trained teacher who has acquired a Diploma in the English language and a Diploma in Information and Communication Technology. He has been selected by the Ministry of Education as a Provincial trainer to train the teachers who teach Science in the medium of English, and he was given a special training in Malaysia and Singapore. He has also received special training at the National Institute of Education. At present in addition to his service at school, he serves as the English medium teacher trainer in Science.

He has secured a recorded percentage of hundred passes in Science at G.C.E. (O/L) examinations over the past years. In addition, he is a reputed and skilled lecturer of Science who has been conducting seminars in Science for the O/L students for the past years.
