It is with great pleasure that I wish to make my observations on Dr. Tissa Ravinda Perera’s latest book A Complete Guide to Start a Business in Sri Lanka. He deserves much praise for authoring this book on this subject covering and compiling several essential areas required when starting a business in Sri Lanka. Today, Sri Lanka is constrained by impediments that inhibit foreign investments and such obstacles do not facilitate starting a business and contribute to the growth of Sri Lanka’s economy. The book contains very valuable chapters such as aspects relating to the Board of Investment regulations and regarding procedures for listing a company on the Colombo Stock Exchange which are essential for entrepreneurs. Dr. Perera has also provided the management dimensions in his book which is an additional feature from his years of academic experience. I would strongly recommend that anyone who is interested in becoming an entrepreneur reads this book as it will give them great insights in commencing a business and help them to overcome any pitfalls and obstacles in this regard. I wish Dr.Tissa Ravinda Perera every success.
